Specifically, the study ranks how often certain home features appear in active for-sale descriptions in 2025, compared to listing descriptions in 2024. The data reveals what prospective buyers really want.

Both homebuyers and sellers are focusing on energy efficiency at home.  WaterSense fixtures were ranked number one on the trends list. According to the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency, WaterSense-labeled products and services use at least 20% less water than regular models. Installing WaterSense labeled toilets, sinks and faucets, and showerheads may help reduce utility costs and your home’s environmental impact.
